Lutiše and its surroundings

The area was created by Wallachian colonization, which took place from the 15th to the 18th century, and belonged to the Strečno domain. In the surroundings there are many hiking and cycling trails. The locality is also attractive for its abundant occurrence of mushrooms.

The surrounding meadows alternate with copses and dense vegetation, while the slopes of the meadows are characterized by their terraced nature – a remnant of the original farming. The meadows are maintained and show regular care by the local inhabitants. One option for easy hiking is the route from the Lutiška saddle, where we have several choices of where to go. We can go to the top of Mravenčík, from where there are views of Malá Fatra and Rozsutec, and descend directly to Terchová. Another option is to set off along forest roads and see the local settlements, which still partially retain their original architecture. Also popular is the cycle route around Mravenčík.
