Reservation of folk architecture of the Slovak Republic inscribed on the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage UNESCO. It is an example of a medieval settlement with architecture of submontane regions.
Mount Poludnica is located on the edge of the Low Tatras, it is like a lookout point over the wide surroundings. After the ascent, views of the Low Tatras ridge, the Western Tatras, and also a piece of the High Tatras with the majestic Kriváň will be revealed to us. When looking from Poludnica, the vast Liptov region and Liptovská Mara with the distant Veľký Choč will not escape our sight either.
Old Castle played a strategic role in the past due to its location. It controlled an important ford across the Váh River in the Strečno Gorge. It was an important passage from the upper Váh region towards Turiec and Liptov. It was also a toll station. The locality is significantly rich in tourist attractions. In addition to the Old Castle, there is also Strečno Castle from a later period, which is in a better state of preservation.
Ľubochnianska dolina is the longest valley in Slovakia, its length is 25 km. It is located in the Veľká Fatra mountains. The river Ľubochnianka flows through the valley. The valley is known for its abundance of large game and is home to the largest Slovak predators (brown bear, Eurasian lynx). The river Ľubochnianka is characterized by well-preserved conditions with good fish stocking mainly brown trout and grayling, in the lower course grayling colorful and occasionally rainbow trout and American brook trout.
Národná prírodná rezervácia Súľovské skaly, ktorá je charakteristická svojimi nezameniteľnými špicatými skalami tvorenými horninou zelepenec. Na relatívne malej ploche sa nachádzajú rôznorodé skalné útvary ako skalné veže, ihly, okná, homole často až bizarných tvarov. Najznámejšie útvary sú Gotická brána či jaskyňa Šarkania diera.
Kláštor pod Znievom is a municipality where the third Slovak grammar school was founded. It focused on natural science subjects. In the surroundings, there are attractive monuments such as Zniev Castle and the Monastery Calvary from 1728 - 1729.
Dubeň Hill near Žilina is lined from the beginning to the highest point by a path with a gentle incline, which turns into a descent after reaching the highest point. Our path is surrounded by tree-lined avenues, which create different feelings in every season and in the variety of weather. At 2/3 there is a lookout tower with a view of the city of Žilina.
