Špičák is known for its fantastic panoramic views. From it, you will see directly Strečno Castle, the ruins of Staré hrad (Starhrad), the Domašínsky meander of the Váh River, the Žilina Basin, and the surrounding ridges of Malá Fatra.

Where it is located and how to get there

• Location: It is located directly above the village of Strečno (approx. 8 km from Žilina).
• Route: The ascent usually starts at the parking lot below Strečno Castle or from the center of the village, and is marked with a yellow tourist trail.
• Difficulty: The ascent is relatively short (takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes), but be prepared for it to be quite steep, as you gain elevation fairly quickly. Children can also manage it if you go at a slower pace.

• It is a beautiful wooden structure that offers some of the most stunning panoramas in the region.
